Ryan and Ryan is a father-and-son piano duo with an innovative style that blends classic and contemporary music to create a new and exciting concert experience for audiences of all musical backgrounds. The duo’s repertoire spans countless musical eras, including music from Rachmaninoff to Gershwin to Billy Joel.
Donald Ryan, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, came to the United States to study music, and is a master of various styles, earning him a place in the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame. His son, Barron, followed in his footsteps, performing as a featured soloist at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame and the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
With experience in classical, jazz, ragtime, and funk styles, the duo reimagines old classics and provides audiences with thrilling renditions of beloved repertoire. They boast an impressive dedication to music education, each pianist having extensive experience as featured performers and speakers from the elementary to the university levels. Between their immense musical knowledge, decades of experience, and infectious love for music and life itself, Ryan and Ryan inspires audiences of all ages.
