Join us at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11 in the A. F. Siebert Chapel for the Percussion Concert.
The percussion ensemble is led by Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music Michael Kozakis. In addition to his work at Carthage, Prof. Kozakis is an active percussionist in the Chicago area. He has performed with both the Chicago Symphony and the Lyric Opera orchestras as an extra percussionist, and played for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra from February 2005 until June 2007. Past credits include performances with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the Chicago Chamber Musicians, MusicNOW, and more. Prof. Kozakis leads the percussion ensemble through a variety of pieces and compiles a program of enriching works for percussion with mastery and musicality.
