Join us at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8 in the H. F. Johnson Center for the Fine Arts Recital Hall for a faculty recital featuring Professor Gregory Berg.
Prof. Berg has been a well-loved member of the Carthage faculty since he began in 1991, and became a full-time faculty member in 1995. At Carthage, Prof. Berg teaches private voice lessons, accompanies Carthage Choir, teaches opera history and vocal diction and literature, and oversees the opera workshop.
During his time at Carthage, Prof. Berg has served as music director for such productions as “The Magic Flute,” “The Elixir of Love,” “The Marriage of Figaro,” “Suor Angelica,” “Pomme d’Api,” and more. His compositional credits include three choral anthems, four liturgies, five commissioned hymns, dozens of choral works, and his original opera, “Black September,” which premiered at Carthage in 2016. He has performed as a soloist for the Kenosha Symphony, the Racine Symphony, and the Kenosha Pops Band. Kenosha locals may recognize him as the host of “The Morning Show” on WGTD.
