Family Fun Night: Women of Science

Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm CST February 28

Location: Hedberg Library

Families are invited to Carthage Friday, Feb 28 to enjoy fun and educational activities in Hedberg Library, browse the collection in the Center for Children’s Literature, and use the library computers.

In honor of Carthage’s 150 Years of Women celebration, several Carthage organizations will explore the impact of women in the different fields of science.

  • Theta Chi Delta (Chemistry Club): Learn about Rosalind Franklin’s research in chemistry.
  • Psi Chi Honors (Psychology Club): Find out how eye tracking works with research from Anne Treisman and Molly Potter.
  • Gamma Nu Sigma (Neuroscience Academic Fraternity Club): Discover how the brain works and review notable women neuroscientists.
  • Beta Beta Beta (Biology Honors Society): Examine biology as the study of all living things.

Themed activities take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Families are welcome to use the library from 6 to 8 p.m.
