Virtual Career Launch Conference

Time: February 22 - February 25

Location: Online

College and university partners located in Southeastern Wisconsin are collaborating to host a Virtual Career Launch Conference for students who are preparing for graduation and entry into the job market in 2021-22. Carthage College, Gateway Technical College, Herzing University, and UW-Parkside extend an invitation to all of our students to join us for this virtual event Monday, Feb. 22 through Thursday, Feb. 25.

Registration is available on Handshake by clicking on the link marked “Events” and then “Fairs.”

A panel of employers within similar career industries will present information to students on best hiring practices offering insight on virtual career fair best practices, current job market trends, and career opportunities in specific industries. Students will learn how to prepare for and launch a successful job search and will gain valuable advice from employers on resumes, interviewing, evaluating job offers, and how to succeed in their first job out of college.

Each day will be focused on a specific industry and will take place on Zoom.

  • Monday, Feb. 22: Information technology, and engineering and manufacturing
  • Tuesday, Feb. 23: Business, marketing, sales, accounting, and economics
  • Wednesday, Feb. 24: Healthcare and sciences
  • Thursday, Feb. 25: Social sciences, education, humanities, communication, and government
