Peer Tutoring is looking for students who have done well academically and who are interested in supporting other students as they also strive to succeed. To help answer your questions about becoming a tutor, we’d like to invite you to attend an information session specifically for applicants interested in tutoring accounting courses. Professor Catherine Lau, Chair of the Accounting and Finance Department, and Sierra Sonnemaker ’23, a current peer tutor in accounting, will be available to answer your questions and share their unique insights.
Attend the information session at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 8, on Zoom
ID: 92836681405
Passcode: 988693
Interested applicants should be friendly, personable, have a growth mindset, and be interested in making connections across campus. Tutors receive training before working with students and regular support through weekly small group staff meetings. As tutors grow in experience, we also offer leadership opportunities and a chance to mentor new tutors. Join a community of like-minded students and support your fellow Firebirds!
