Time: 2:00pm CDT September 26
Location: A. F. Siebert Chapel
Professor Gregory Berg presents his recital “I’d like to express my thanks: Celebrating 30 years of Singing and Teaching at Carthage” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, in the A. F. Siebert Chapel.
Prof. Berg will perform repertoire that highlights his career at Carthage. Over his 30 years at Carthage, Prof. Berg has directed the Lincoln Chamber Singers, oversaw Carthage’s Opera Workshop, accompanied the Carthage Choir, and nurtured new talent as a voice teacher.
Outside of teaching at Carthage, Prof. Berg has been dedicated to the local community. From his morning radio show to his numerous directorships at the Racine Theatre Guild, he has dedicated his time and his talents to those around him. Additionally, he has composed multiple vocal works and operas, including the children’s opera “Birds of a Feather.” His family will join him in this celebration with his wife Kathy Berg ’85 performing alongside him on stage.
