Fourth of July is right around the corner and each year, Kenosha, Somers, and Racine host parades for the holiday and Carthage loves to take part!

The Carthage entry for these three parades will be one of the shuttle buses. Student and faculty participants will get to alternate between riding the shuttle and walking in the parade (while waving to all of Carthage’s fans). We’re also looking to get our participants from Carthage fun accessories like foam fingers and beads.

Kenosha: Kenosha’s parade will be on Sunday, July 3. We will meet on campus by Lentz Hall at 11:15 a.m. and depart around 11:30 a.m. We will then need to be in position by 12 p.m. The parade ends around 3/3:30 p.m. and the shuttle will take students back to campus.

Racine/Somers: The Racine and Somers parades will both be on Monday, July 4. We will again meet on campus by Lentz Hall at 6:15 a.m. and depart by 6:30 a.m. in order to ensure we arrive by 7 a.m. After the Racine parade, we will go directly to the Somers parade. Afterwards, we’ll drive back to Carthage.

Students attending or participating in either parade who work through Carthage will be compensated for their hours, and will receive a free Carthage T-shirt and lunch. We are looking to take 7 students for each day on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will also have a wait list going, just in case!
