Student Academic Travel Awards due Nov. 20
The Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, & Creativity Committee invites travel award applications from students. This program will fund student travel to academic conferences and events to present undergraduate research and/or original artwork created at Carthage. The Committee will also consider applications from students who wish to attend an academic conference, but who will not present original work.
Awards will range from $50 to $500. After attending the academic event, awardees will submit receipts and an activity report to receive reimbursement. Students supported under this program will be asked to display the results of their research or original work at an all-College event such as the Celebration of Scholars, Honors, or Divisional Colloquium.
To be considered for a Fall 2013/J-Term 2014 award, submit completed applications to firstname.lastname@example.org by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013. Funds awarded this semester will be available by Dec. 16, 2013. Receipts must be received before Feb. 14, 2014.
To be considered for a Spring 2014 award, submit completed applications to email@example.com by 4 p.m., Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Funds awarded in Spring 2014 will be available April 11, 2014. Receipts must be received before June 13, 2014.
Please note that traveling before the deadline does not exclude your eligibility (be sure to hold on to your receipts). However it is possible that your reimbursement may not be full.
