All Stories

The word “animation” derives from the Latin verb animare, meaning “to give life to.” In this workshop we will bring life to photos, graphics, and 3D objects using Google Slides and iPad animation apps.

The Digital Adventure Series will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 in Hedberg Library 170.

After the training period the learner will be able to do the following:

Cell Animation

  • Log into Google Slide
  • Upload a background image and foreground image
  • Manipulate the image to create an animated sequence
  • Publish the final presentation

Stop Motion Animation

  • Access the Stop Motion animation app on the iPad
  • Begin a new project
  • Adjust the picture elements
  • Manipulate and record objects to create a animated sequence
  • Share the final video

We will have five stop motion animation stations set up with a variety of objects to manipulate. You are welcome to bring your own object to bring to life, and iPads will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop.
