Directed by Prof. Stacy Pottinger, Carthage Theatre presents the fall dance show “Vanishing Point,” a program of dance works that move us through the present.

The program will include two Repertory Etudes based on signature works of American choreographers, Donald McKayle and Danny Buraczeski. The program also features a guest performance by dancer/choreographer, Piper Morgan Hayes; choreography and performance by Libby Nelson, in completion of her Senior Thesis for a self-designed Major in Theatre with dance emphasis; compelling and provocative new works by Valerie Gonzalez, Piper Morgan Hayes; new works by emerging choreographers, Megan Brancato and Caitlin Reynolds, and special first-year read dance performances in the lobby 20 minutes before each production.

Showtimes are as follows:

  • Friday, Dec. 9 — 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 10 — 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 11 — 3 p.m.

  • Adults: $14
  • Seniors (55+): $10
  • *Students: $8

*Carthage students, faculty, and staff receive two complimentary tickets. Tickets are available at the Fine Arts Box Office only; I.D. required. For non-Carthage students, the student ticket rate is available for students in elementary school through college/university, with a valid school ID.
