  • Amount: $1,250
  • Description: According to the HouseholdQuotes website, “eco-friendly homes are becoming increasingly popular in the United States. Essays must be between 750 and 1,500 words.

LawnStarter Lawntrepeneur Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: LawnStarter is offering a bi-annual scholarship for students who are interested in entrepreneurship. To apply, write an essay of 500-700 about “what makes you passionate about building a business,” and send it in with a transcript and an updated resume.
  • Eligibility: Any current student or incoming freshman who is interested in starting his or her own business is able to apply.

Family First Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: This scholarship is offered by J. Lee Webb Law Offices for students who are the first in their family to go to college. To apply, fill out the application form online and submit an essay of more than 500 words explaining how a college degree will change your own life and the life of your family. It is suggested, but not required that you also submit letters of recommendation.
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be high school seniors or current students pursuing a law degree with a GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants must also be the first in their families to pursue a college degree.

My Solo 401k Financial Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Apply for this scholarship by submitting an essay of at least 1,000 words on the following topic: “what are the benefits of using funds in your 401k, IRA, or other retirement account to finance your business or franchise?”

  • Eligibility: This scholarship is open to current or incoming students. Proof of enrollment may be required.

Hard Money Lender Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Submit an essay of up to 1,000 words on the following topic: “With the emergence of the shared economy (with companies such as Airbnb, Uber, Turo), what should existing businesses be mindful of over the next decade to stay relevant?   • Description: Write an essay of at least 800 words that describes a way out for people who want to quit smoking. You essay should be evidence-based and it is good if you provide personal experience.

  • Amount: $1,000
