To all Faculty, Staff, and Students:

The Carthage residence halls and apartments will close to all students at 6 p.m.on Friday, Nov. 22 for Thanksgiving Break. All students must be out of Carthage housing at that time, unless they have applied for and been granted permission for extended stay by the Office of Student Life. The halls and apartments will reopen at noon on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013.

For those faculty and staff who require that students be on campus during Thanksgiving Break, please email Nina Fleming student names and ID numbers on or before Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 to have those students added to the extended stay list.

For those students with extenuating circumstances that may require extended stay, please contact Nina Fleming no later than Wednesday, Nov. 20 to request approval for extended stay.

If approved to stay, there is a $25 per night fee for students to stay on campus past 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013.

For those students approved to stay, there are no guests allowed, including other Carthage students, during the period in which the halls and apartments are closed. All college policies are in effect when the halls are closed. Violations of any college policies, including the aforementioned guest policy, may result in immediate revocation of permission to stay on campus.

Also, all college services and buildings are limited when the halls close. Food services and mail services are among the services that are limited or unavailable.

If you have any questions regarding extended stay, please email Nina Fleming or contact the Office of Student Life at 262-551-5800.

Thank you!
