Future of Assisted Living Scholarship

  • Amount: $2,000 (three awards)
  • Description: Submit a 250-word introduction about yourself and a 750-word essay about how your major can improve the lives of seniors living in assisted living centers.
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in college for the 2017-2018 school year.

Good Fitness Power Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Review the exercise equipment on the website and select a product to review in at least 700 words.

Agora Pulse Scholarship for Emerging Social Media Geniuses

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: In five paragraphs or less, describe the most effective use of social media that you have seen. Analyze what you saw and explain why it was an excellent use of social media for achieving the goals of the business.
  • Eligibility: Current or incoming students who are interested in social media management are welcome to apply.

Scott Alan Turner Personal Finance Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000 (current undergraduate) $500 (high school senior)
  • Description: In an essay of 500+ words, discuss what you have learned about personal finance from your parents and what you have learned on your own.
  • Eligibility: Current or incoming students who are 16 to 21 and have a GPA of at least 3.0 are welcome to apply.

NYC Sports Physical Therapy Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Description: Write an essay of 500-700 words that addresses the following questions. 1. What is the role of technology in the future of rehabilitation medicine? 2. What is the role of virtual reality in the treatment of patients with movement disorders? 3. What are the challenges in implementing research-based approaches to everyday practices?
  • Eligibility: Current or incoming students who are interested in biomedical research are invited to apply.

Martial Arts Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Submit an essay of 500-1000 words explaining how martial arts have fostered your growth as a person.
  • Eligibility: This contest is open to students who have participated formally in a martial arts school or club. Incoming students must have GPAs of 3.0, and current undergraduates must have GPAs of at least 2.0.

First Art Gallery Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Submit a piece of art (in any form) that makes you proud and a writing sample, on any subject, of up to 2,000 words.

Rover Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Write 400-500 words about how the domestication of dogs has improved the overall happiness of humans.
  • Eligibility: This award is open to current and incoming students. Current students must have GPAs of 2.5; incoming students must have GPAs of 3.0.
  • Deadline: May 31, 2017

Environmental Litigation Group Scholarship

  • Amount: $5,000 (one award) $3,000 (one award) $2,000 (one award)
  • Description: Submit an essay of 500-1,500 words on “what it takes to fight cancer.”
  • Eligibility: Applicants must have witnessed a parent or family member battling cancer. A 3.0 GPA is also required.
  • Deadline: July 31, 2017

Epic Wilderness Scholarship

  • Amount: $1,000-$5,000 (determined by scholarship committee)
  • Description: Write an essay of 1,000-1,500 words about a topic related to outdoor recreation. Include your own outdoor experience, constructive opinions/arguments about the topic you are writing about, and something unique to differentiate you from the other applicants
  • Eligibility: Current students who do not have full tuition scholarships are eligible to apply. Slight preference will be given to students who are taking a class related to outdoor recreation or nature.

  • Amount: $1,000
  • Description: Turn your entrepreneurial idea into a business plain of 1,000 words and submit it to the scholarship committee.

  • Amount: $1,500
  • Description: Submit an essay of 500 words about how retail banking will change in the next 25 years.
