Zachary Resch ’14 will present “Neuropsychological Assessment of Epilepsy” at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16 in the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Natural and Social Sciences Room 163.

Zachary will provide an overview of epilepsy, including seizure classification, epidemiology, diagnostic testing, and etiological factors. He will also describe the impact of epilepsy on cognitive functioning and explain some methods and nuances in neuropsychological assessment for evaluating potential cognitive impairment related to epilepsy and/or seizure characteristics. Additionally, he will provide a brief insight into some of the current clinical research being undertaken by the Medical College of Wisconsin and Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science on cognitive functioning in an epilepsy population.
