The Carthage Philharmonic, under the direction of Professor Edward Kawakami, will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16 in the A. F. Siebert Chapel. The concert will include Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man”, an enthralling and exciting piece composed in 1942, and Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings”, a beautiful riveting piece composed in 1936. The Philharmonic will also perform Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5, a fantastic and engaging work known as the “Reformation Symphony”.
