Anyone interested in learning more about the Master (MSc) in business design and innovation program is welcome to attend an info session at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 14 in the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Natural and Social Sciences, Sladek Distinguished Science Forum Room 163.

Design is a comprehensive approach to solving complex problems. Businesses find design increasingly valuable, yet the strategies are applicable to any field. The Master (MSc) in business design and innovation program prepares graduates to:

  • Lead and manage high performing cross-functional teams
  • Design innovative solutions
  • Develop effective strategies and programs for the private, nonprofit, and government sectors

More targeted than an MBA, the program can be completed in 10 months, and is delivered cohort-style, where students take a mixture of foundational business courses and business design and innovation courses. The program also provides graduate students the opportunity to gain experience through internships or career pathway projects. Students complete an International Capstone project in the spring. The current cohort will travel to Spain.

This innovative program provides an educational experience grounded in independent and critical thinking, creative problem solving and solution finding. To facilitate mastery, the program builds upon a liberal arts education where the curriculum streams of design, innovation, and organization development are taught through the critical concepts of theory, knowledge, application, and continuous learning at the individual, team and organization levels.
