The H. F. Johnson Gallery of Art presents “The Saint John’s Bible” through Dec. 15.

Scheduled in coordination with the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, the exhibition consists of 25 prints on loan from the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library. The illuminated pages of scripture feature embellishments of gold and platinum leaf, vibrant colors, and delicate calligraphy.

Guided by Benedictine tradition, an international team of scribes and artists created it as a Bible for the 21st century. “The Saint John’s Bible” echoes the past in its methods and materials while speaking to the present in its visual design and language.

Admission to the exhibition is free, and the public is welcome.
