Kappa Phi Eta, Phi Kappa Sigma, and Tau Sigma Chi have partnered with Courage MKE to proudly present “Heels for Hope” at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14 in the TARC Field House. This fundraising event will benefit the homeless LGBTQ+ youth in the greater Milwaukee area. Come see professionals and your fellow classmates work the runway in a drag show for a great cause!

Event admission will be sold in the form of bracelets. These bracelets are available for purchase from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. through Wednesday, Dec. 13 in the Campbell Student Union lobby and in Einstein’s. You can buy one bracelet for $3 or two bracelets for $5. You’ll have the opportunity to vote for your favorite Drag Queen by way of a donation to Courage Mke. At this event, cash and most forms of electronic payment will be accepted.

If you want more information or you aren’t available to visit the table during the specified hours to purchase admission bracelets, please contact Dani Rodriguez.

Courage MKE is a nonprofit, diverse group of allies and members of Milwaukee’s LGBTQ+ community. Their mission is to raise funds and awareness for the LGBTQ+ youth in Milwaukee, Wisconsin — ensuring they have the skills, tools, and resources needed to grow into successful leaders throughout the community. Additionally, they are working to open and sustain “The Courage House,” a drop in home with on-site support for any LGBTQ+ youth that has suffered mental or physical abuse, and has no means to support themselves or needs a place to call home temporarily. All proceeds from “Heels for Hope” will go directly to Courage MKE and their charitable cause.
