Brian Schoettler ’11 to be featured on national radio show

Brian Schoettler ’11 will be featured on the national radio show “Pipedreams” on Monday, Feb. 5. Schoettler will be featured playing Buxtehude’s “Magnificat” at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. The recording is from a performance of Eastman organ students during Schoettler’s graduate studies. The “Pipedreams” broadcast will be streamed online. 

Schoettler double majored in organ performance and instrumental music education at Carthage and was active in the Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble. He also frequently performed on Carthage’s Fritsch Memorial Organ in the A. F. Siebert Chapel.

After earning his doctorate in organ performance and composition, Schoettler became the minister of music and organist at First United Methodist Church in Evanston, Illinois.
