All Stories

Eight months ago, John Swallow took office as the 23rd president of Carthage, bringing with him more than two decades of teaching and leadership experience at small, private liberal arts colleges. In the video above, created by Carthage videographer Torey Kervick ’17 with Stimuli Media, President Swallow speaks about the Carthage story, and what he has learned so far about our beloved traditions; alumni; and students, faculty, and staff.

On April 21, during the College’s Spring Family Weekend, Carthage will celebrate the formal installation of President Swallow at an Inauguration ceremony. All members of the Carthage community are invited to attend.

The Inauguration Ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in A. F. Siebert Chapel. A public reception will precede the ceremony, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in Hedberg Library.

Please mark your calendars for a full weekend of events and activities, and watch for more details about special events for Carthage students, faculty, and staff.
