Carthage College is seeking a strategic and experienced leader to serve as Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA).

Reporting to the President, the VPFA serves as an officer of the College, and will be a strategic partner to the President and Provost, supporting all members of the Executive Staff in planning of their operations.

Overseeing the College’s $78 million annual budget and $120 million endowment, the VPFA carries special responsibility for leadership and management of the College’s financial plans and operations, including budgeting, debt management, financial accounting, campus construction, and oversight of investments. The VPFA develops and manages the College’s annual budget in cooperation with the senior leadership of the College, prepares iterative budget projections, and maintains a long-range budget model.

The VPFA also provides leadership and oversight for a number of key offices, including Business Services, the Office of Student Accounts, Facilities, Dining Services, the Bookstore, Library and Information Technology, and Conference Services. This position will serve as administrative liaison for relevant committees of the Board of Trustees. The new VPFA will join a tradition of strong leadership and prudent fiscal management, key attributes that have led the College to a position of success that few others in higher education are experiencing.
