Aerial shot of students on Mandeure excavations
All Stories

The Mandeure excavations are completed for 2018 and Carthage students have returned to the U.S. with a great deal of enthusiasm for the dig experience and the chance to make new friends with students from France.

The last day was spent in Strasbourg, enjoying the lovely old city and yet more delightful French cuisine.

The Altametris company has already produced a striking drone video of the Mandeure theater (the largest Roman Theater in the Gauls) that can be seen at this link. They also did an aerial photo of the group on one of the last days of the excavation.

You can still check out the student blogs at this link, and if you are interested in participating in the 2019 Mandeure Excavations, get in touch with Professor Dan Schowalter.
