Carthage accounting majors Alison Meeker ’20, Dianna Anontio ’20, Leslye Soberanes ’20, and Kendall Bellone ’21, and faculty advisor Professor Courtney Malloy, attended the 2018 IMA Student Leadership Conference in St. Louis, Mo.

Students attended workshops on “Leadership Building Blocks,” “Navigating the Multi-Generational Workforce,” “Data & Analytics,” “Blockchain 101,” and “Advice from the C-Suite,” which included a panel of CFOs from Panera Bread, Boeing, and Nestle Purina. In addition, students networked and interviewed on-site with national firms and companies.

At the end of the conference, students walked away with knowledge of emerging topics in the accounting profession and experienced excellent professional development.

The group even had time to squeeze in a trip to Gateway Arch and Ballpark Village!
