Join us throughout February as we celebrate Black History Month with great on-campus and off-campus events. The events are as follows:

Cultural Field Trip — Sunday, Feb. 24

9 a.m.-5 p.m., DuSable Museum of African-American History, Chicago, Ill.
This field trip will take us to the DuSable Museum of African-American History in Chicago. We will also eat at Priscilla’s Soul Food restaurant. Students should bring $25 to cover cost of admission to museum and meal. Transportation will be provided by Carthage shuttle. Space is limited. To RSVP, email Roger Moreano at rmoreano@carthage.edu.

Java and Justice — Wednesday, Feb. 27

4 p.m., WOH’s Place
Java and Justice is a discussion series that looks at hot-button issues. Discussions are respectful; participants are asked to listen more than speak, and seek to understand alternative perspectives. This month we look at policing and African American communities. Free coffee and tea will be served.
