Do your students seem like they are passive readers, disengaged with your course’s assigned readings and textbooks? Then it’s time to think strategically about how we guide our students through their texts so that they are actively engaged with the material, and connect it to in-class discussions.

Join us for the session “Strategic Literacy: Maximizing Student Interactions with Assigned Readings,” from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25 in the Teaching Commons (Hedberg 223). In this interactive session, participants will experiment with and collaborate on various methods for maximizing student interactions with text. Professor Jackie Easley, dean for the Division of Professional Studies, will lead the presentation. Refreshments will be served.
