The Student Government Senate is composed of two types of representatives including students elected by the student body (class representatives), and students elected by an organization (organization representatives).

Student Government is now accepting applications from student organizations that wish to have a representative sit on the 2019-2020 Student Senate.

There are many crucial benefits to having a Student Government representative from your organization. They include the following:

  • Giving your organization a larger voice on campus matters that may or may not directly concern the organization
  • Allowing your representative to speak on behalf of your organization during budgeting meetings and any special allocation requests
  • Providing an opportunity for your organization to have a say on the decisions Student Government makes, and bring that information directly back to the organization
  • Updating Student Government on what your organization is accomplishing

We are looking for a diverse group of organizations.

A committee of current class representatives will decide which organizations will be granted a seat. The application is due at 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 31.

Note: If your organization currently has a seat on Student Government and you wish to retain that seat, you still must complete the application.
