The Hedberg Library has launched a new Makerspace in the Saemann Lab classroom. The Makerspace is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is available to all students.

A Makerspace is defined as a place where people can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge. Current offerings include 3D printing, macro photography, stop motion animation, and elementary robotics.

The facility is managed by trained students who are available to teach and assist users. Workshops will be offered throughout the semester.

The Hedberg Library Makerspace is in its infant stage, but we hope to develop and expand offerings depending on student interest and involvement. Come and visit us and bring your enthusiasm, curiosity, and ideas to share.
