Hailey Rothstein ?19 Carthage nursing student Hailey Rothstein ’19 has earned the Wisconsin Nurses Association Future Nursing Leader Award out of a handful of nominees.

According to faculty in the Nursing Program, Hailey has consistently demonstrated leadership throughout her time at Carthage, both within the Nursing Program, as well as in the Carthage community and beyond. She has been a strong advocate for her cohort, and a tutor for junior and sophomore nursing students in the Learning Labs. Hailey has held leadership positions in the Zeta Tau Sigma sorority, and was team captain and leader of the women’s softball team. These are but a few of her accomplishments.

Here is an excerpt from her nomination letter that crystallizes the leadership qualities of a Carthage nurse:

“Hailey is always willing to offer a helping hand to her peers, professors, and clinical nurses in the clinical environment, resulting in her serving as a role model of what it means to be a team player. Hailey has strong interpersonal skills both inside the classroom and in the clinical environment, as evidenced by her interactions with patients, faculty, and peers; her joy in helping others is truly apparent in all that she does. Her dedication to exceptional, compassionate care guides her each day. She truly possesses the characteristics of a Carthage nurse: astute clinical judgement, unfailing ethics and integrity, and strong patient advocacy that ensures her patients’ physical, psychological, and spiritual needs are comprehensively met.”

Hailey will receive the award by a member of the board of directors of the WNA at the Nursing Program’s first pinning ceremony on Saturday, May 25. Please join us in offering our heartfelt congratulations to Hailey!
