Join the Carthage Dance Program for “Away From The Mirror,” an entirely student-produced dance concert. Performances are held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11 in the Studio Theatre located in the David A. Straz, Jr. Center.

This production provides opportunities for student dance artists to develop their own work, to share in the leadership and management of their own production, and to engage in discourse with one another and with their audience. As we work toward these goals, we find opportunities to encourage one another, express opinions, solve problems, learn from mistakes, and cultivate an environment of respect and professionalism. The program will feature contemporary and jazz works that explore a range of themes. The student choreographers of the concert are Noelle Jay ’19, Eunice Mwonya ’19, Kayla Saavedra ’20, Lukas Lyons ’20, Riley Geoghegan ’20, Bre Reynolds ’21, Mary Kate Guy ’21, and Geovanni Virella-Torres ’22.
