All Stories

The Teaching Commons will continue its past practice of a post-semester course design workshop. The workshop is open to all faculty and will include opportunities to engage new ideas, reflect on current practices, and exchange ideas with colleagues while designing formal and informal assessments and innovative learning activities aligned with the desired outcomes for your course. This hands-on workshop includes time to work on course materials individually and with colleagues. Participants will receive print and digital tools to support their ongoing work after the workshop.

The workshop is timed to allow participants to include a reflection on courses just taught in their considerations of the new or revised course they are working on and/or allow participants to get a jump start on plans for summer course designing and revising.

Facilitators: Workshop will be led by Professors Dennis Munk and Greg Baer, with instructional designer Zubia Mughal.

Times and dates: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29 (lunch included), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 30 (lunch included),  and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 31.

Participants completing all three days of the workshop will receive a $150 stipend.

Registration is required no later than May 22. Register here
