All Stories

The Writing Across the Curriculum program’s fall workshop series on writing pedagogy will take place from Monday, Aug. 19 to Wednesday, Aug. 21. This 3-day series is the means by which faculty become eligible to teach Writing Intensive (WI) classes.

If you plan to teach a WI course this coming school year, but have not taken Carthage’s WAC training series in the past, then this workshop series is for you. Please also indicate your intent to attend by emailing Shannon Brennan, director of writing development, at sbrennan@carthage.edu.

All faculty may wish to join our keynote workshop, led by Prof. Linda Adler-Kassner, professor of writing studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prof. Adler-Kassner’s workshop is titled “Threshold Concepts: Writing, Reading, Thinking.”

While an RSVP is required neither for Prof. Adler-Kassner’s keynote workshop nor for the 3-day WAC workshop series, it will assist in planning. To express your interest, please email Shannon Brennan, director of writing development, at sbrennan@carthage.edu.

We look forward to seeing you there!
