The Office of Equity and Inclusion invites all to RSVP for our first cultural field trip of the semester as we take a day to visit the Pilsen neighborhood in Chicago!

Pilsen is a predominantly Latinx, with a majority of folks being of Mexican descent,  located southwest of the Chicago Loop.

We will visit Pilsen on Saturday, Sept. 14. We will depart campus via college shuttle at 9 a.m., and return at approximately 4:30 p.m.

In Pilsen, we will visit the National Museum of Mexican Art, take a walking tour of the neighborhood — which is filled with the murals of local artists painted on buildings — and eat an authentic meal at a local restaurant.

Please plan to bring approximately $20 to cover the cost of your meal. Transportation and museum admission are free.

Spots are limited and available on a first respond, first-serve basis.

To reserve a spot, contact Roger Moreano at rmoreano@carthage.edu.
