Carthage, its Creative Writing Program, and the English Department have benefited enormously from the leadership and creativity of women. Come join us at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, in the Niemann Media Theater to celebrate these contributions with readings of poetry and prose by alumnae and current and former faculty. After the readings, we invite you to stay for refreshments and conversation with these amazing writers.

Readers include:

  • Professor Jean Preston, former director of the Writing Center
  • Professor Shannon Brennan
  • Alumnae Manar Mohammad ’16, Megan Jacobs ’19 (via printed page from Olympia, Wash.), Daisy Rosenstock ’18, Kim Brady ’12, Jordyn Carbine ’18, Skye Rutherford ’18 (via video poem from Malaysia), Abby Kirby, Bethany Kanter ’15, and Rianna Garza ’19
