Homecoming ’18It’s Homecoming Week at Carthage! Show your Carthage spirit and check out what events are planned to celebrate. We’re counting down the days until Saturday, when alumni and friends from every decade will return for fun, friends, and football.

Monday, Oct. 7

Homecoming court announcements and performance by novelty comedian John Cassidy
8 p.m. — Campbell Student Union Auditorium
Join CAB and your fellow students for Homecoming court announcements, and a wild evening with John Cassidy. 

Tuesday, Oct. 8

Quizbowl
9 p.m. — TWC Jockey Rooms
Watch Carthage clubs and organizations compete in Quiz Bowl. The groups will compete in a trivia game centered around Carthage history.

Wednesday, Oct. 9

Amazing Relays
8 p.m. — TARC Fieldhouse
How fast do you think you would be able to find secret spots at Carthage? Watch student organizations race across campus and take on a variety of challenges that test their brain and brawn.

Thursday, Oct. 10

Torchie’s Super Speedway
5 p.m. — Oaks Circle Drive
Attend the annual Torchie’s Super Speedway to cheer for your favorite student organization as they race for the fastest time.

Carthage Theatre presents: ‘A Doll’s House, Part II’ 
7:30 p.m. — Wartburg Theatre, A. W. Clausen Center for World Business 
The Carthage Theatre Department presents “A Doll’s House, Part II” by Lucas Hnath and directed by Professor Herschel Kruger.

Alumni Career Panel with Carthage students: ‘Building Your Story’ (Wiggan-Kenniebrew Reunion)

Attend a panel discussion featuring W-K network members as they share their stories with students.
Hosted by The Aspire Center.

Social Networking Mixer with Carthage students (Wiggan-Kenniebrew Reunion)
4-5:45 p.m. — Todd Wehr Center, Jockey Room B
Join us as we celebrate with alumni and current multicultural students hosted by the Alumni Office. A cash bar will be available. 

Pep Rally, Halftime of Red Men’s Soccer Game
5:45 p.m. — Art Keller Field
Participate in the pep rally, and cheer for the Red Men Soccer team! In case of inclement weather, the Pep Rally is held inside the TARC.

Career Networking (Computer Science Reunion)
5:30-7:30 p.m. — Woh’s Place, Todd Wehr Center
Network and mingle with current students interested in pursuing a career in the Computer Science field and other alumni in the industry. 

150 Years of Carthage Women Kickoff 
7 p.m. — A. F. Siebert Chapel
The official launch of a yearlong celebration commemorating 150 years of educating women at Carthage.

Homecoming Parade
11 a.m. — Campus Drive 
Featuring “Future Carthage Alumni,” the Alumni Council, student organization floats, sororities, fraternities, music, and more! A special viewing area directly across from A. F. Siebert Chapel is available for 1969 and Gold Plus (50+ Years) alumni and their guests.

Festival Grounds Open
12:30 p.m. through the end of the game — North end of South Lower Lot 
Carthage Spirit comes alive in the festival grounds! Tailgate area and food available for purchase. An area will be set aside for family-friendly events. Be sure to visit the northeast corner of Art Keller Field to view sheet contest submissions from a variety of student organizations.
Note: The beer garden on the festival grounds will be age-restricted.

Football: Carthage vs. Illinois Wesleyan University
1 p.m. — Art Keller Field
Complimentary football game tickets for alumni may be picked up Friday or Saturday at the Information Station in the Campbell Student Union from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. There is limited seating in the TARC Field House for those who wish to view the game indoors beginning at 1 p.m.  

Carthage Music Department presents: Homecoming Concert
7:30 p.m. — A. F. Siebert Chapel
Join the Carthage Choir, Wind Orchestra, and select alumni performers for this concert celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Women at Carthage. Included will be the World Premiere of Judy Bozone’s “Talitha Cumi.”

Homecoming Worship Service with Pastor Angela Khabeb ’05
10 a.m. — A. F. Siebert Chapel
The Rev. Angela T. Khabeb ’05 is the newest member of the Holy Trinity ministry staff. Pastor Khabeb, a Bridges Scholar, completed seminary at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago where she won the James Kenneth Echols Prize for Excellence in Preaching. She completed her undergraduate degree at Carthage College in 2005.
