Nursing Department seeks donations for Hoover Elementary Hats and Gloves Drive

As we all know winter in southeast Wisconsin can be brutal, so having the proper winter clothes and accessories is vital to avoid harm from the cold temperatures.

A group of Carthage senior nursing students in the Community Health Nursing course are in their clinical rotation at a school in need. We have decided that our health initiative and service learning project is to gather heavy winter hats and gloves. The goal of this is to provide sustainable winter garments for the elementary school children.

How can the Carthage community help? We are asking you to please donate winter hats or gloves if you are able. The Nursing Learning Lab located in Lentz Hall will have a donation box available for drop-off donations.

My clinical group and I would be very appreciative of any donations made for our project, with the goal of helping children be prepared for the winter. Please reach out with any questions!

Sincerely,

Prof. Levey, Emma Kopitke, Declan Weaver, Holly White, Calli Linse, Rosie Norelia, and Ali Mbise.
