Carthage Mock Trial competed in its first invitational tournament of the 2019-20 season at the University of Minnesota Oct. 11-13. Two team members won awards for Outstanding Witness: Kierra Coleman ’22 and Braden Kundert ’22.

The team next competes in the Dairyland Classic Oct. 26-27, at the Kenosha County Courthouse. The Dairyland Classic is the first invitational tournament hosted jointly by Carthage and UW-Milwaukee. 22 teams from 14 colleges will participate. The public is welcome to attend any of the four rounds being held over the two days. The rounds will begin at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. both days.

The team is coached by Professor Michael Phegley, (MGT/MKT) with the assistance of Attorney/Court Commissioner Loren Keating and Attorneys Margaret Johnson and Ryan Ogren. Maham Ali ’19 and Joshua Kundert ’19 are graduate assistant coaches of this year’s teams. Professor Helene DeGross (CDM) is also instrumental in the team’s development and success each season. Additionally, Professor Art Cyr and the A. W. Clausen Center for World Business continue to provide support at each tournament and throughout the season.
