Assistant professor of religion Fatih Harpci is an invited participant at Villanova University’s Nostra Aetate Conference on Friday, Nov. 8, an event sponsored by Villanova’s Institute for Catholic Social Thought and Center for Arab and Islamic Studies. The conference’s name, Nostra Aetate (“In our time”), refers to a document from the Second Vatican Council that reconsidered the relationship between the Roman Catholic church and non-Christian religions. Prof. Harpci will present “Beyond Coexistence and Tolerance: Christian-Muslim Relations in the Light of Nostra Aetate and A Common Word.”
