Would you like to compete for the glory of Carthage and contribute to the elevation of literacy in Kenosha at the same time? The Kenosha Literacy Council’s annual spelling bee fundraiser will take place on the evening of Friday, March 27.

If you would like to help keep our team, Dido’s Darlings, in the championship position they earned last spring, please send a message to Cameron Swallow at cswallow@carthage.edu. If there are more than four (plus one alternate) people that want to compete, we may post two teams. There is no group commitment beyond the night of March 27, just the personal preparation of some subset of the expected words. The theme of this year’s spelling bee is “To Infinity and Bee-yond,” so some extraterrestrial costume accessories may be involved.
