Prof. Andrea Ng’weshemi publishes article on Lutheranism in Africa
Professor Andrea Ng’weshemi of the Religion Department has published an article in the academic journal, “Dialog: Journal of Theology (Dec. 2019)”. Titled “Lutheran churches in Africa: Vitality, challenges, and opportunities for the new face of Lutheranism in the 21st century,” the work examines the rise of Lutheranism in Africa. It outlines the reasons behind the steady expansion of the denomination and the challenges faced by Lutheran churches in the region. The implications of the rise of Lutheranism in Africa for global Christianity are also highlighted.
