Carthage nursing major Declan Weaver ’20 is running an educational intervention that focuses on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and is looking for volunteers to participate. The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in the Skybox Conference Center of the Tarble Arena.

This event will evaluate the effects of a basic resuscitation course involving education about CPR skills and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to teach undergraduate students how to intervene in life-threatening situations. Be a part of this research study for undergraduate students who have not previously been CPR certified.

There will be several volunteers, including staff and students from the Carthage nursing program. There will also be raffle prizes, including Apple Air Pods and an Xbox One. Every participant is eligible to win these amazing prizes. All participants will receive a $15 Amazon gift card upon their completion of the event.

RSVP with your phone number and email address to dweaver@carthage.edu no later than Thursday, Feb. 20.
