Earth Day

Want to involve your organization in Earth Week? Your input and participation is welcome! The Carthage Green Team will host an Earth Week planning meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, in room 165 of the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Natural and Social Sciences.

This year is the 50th anniversary for Earth Day, so we would like to host fun activities on campus to celebrate and raise awareness. This year’s theme is “climate action,” but please bring any ideas related to Earth Day, the environment, or sustainability to the meeting. This could include ideas related to fast fashion, recycling, water use, electricity consumption, composting, deforestation, etc.

We are looking for org leaders who are interested in having their organization participate or host an event on campus. This could be anything from fundraising, workshops, beach cleanups, trivia nights, or anything your club members specialize in! Please send a representative to the meeting if your org wants to participate. We would love as much input and volunteer support as possible.

If you have any questions, send an email to green@carthage.edu.
