All Stories

The Wisconsin Veterans Museum’s exhibition of photos of women veterans entitled “I Am Not Invisible” will be making a stop at Carthage Friday, Feb. 21 for the premiere of “Fighting For Home,” a new play about the military experiences of female veterans. The display will be placed in the Wartburg Theatre lobby for public view before the show at 7:30 p.m.

The I Am Not Invisible (IANI) awareness campaign began as a program featuring 20 photographs of Oregon women who were military veterans. Now a nationwide program, the IANI campaign strives to increase awareness and generate dialogue about the role of women veterans.

The Wisconsin campaign was conducted in early 2019, interviewing and photographing a number of female veterans from the state. A curator from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum will set up the works and be on hand at the installation. Come see this intriguing collection of photos and read the stories of women from Wisconsin who served, and then join us for the premiere of “Fighting For Home!”
