PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis.— The Carthage College women's swimming and diving team came away with their third-straight Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship title following a three day total of 772 Saturday at the RecPlex.
The Lady Reds collected four all-conference awards on the day as Jordyn Bloode placed second in the 1650 freestyle and Grace Sakry came in third in the 200-yard backstroke.
Becca Rutkowski won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.64 followed closely by
DeAnn Jones with a 51.89 time for all-conference honors.
Carthage tallied another win in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:30.38 with swimmers Rutkowski, Bloode, Jones and Gianna McGuire.
It marks the Lady Red's third program title under head coach Beth DeLaRosby who was named CCIW Coach of the Year for the fifth time in her career.
Carthage will await their fate for selection into the 2020 NCAA Division III Men's Swimming and Diving Championships. The women's diving regional is set to begin on February 28 while the swimming portion will begin on March 18.
