Seven Carthage professors awarded tenure
At its February meeting, the Carthage Board of Trustees awarded tenure and promotion to seven faculty members:
- Anthony Barnhart (Psychological Science)
- Lara Christoun (Education)
- Fatih Harpci (Religion)
- Andrea Henle (Biology)
- Rebecca Hornung (Social Work)
- Sara Jensen (Mathematics)
- Ed Kawakami (Music)
As the Carthage Faculty Handbook explains, the board “grants tenure to those faculty members of such proven performance and professionalism as to qualify them to become permanent members of the faculty.” Promotions take effect in fall.
The board also granted sabbatical leaves to 11 faculty members in 2020-21:
