Instructor Greg Sadler hosts new philosophy-focused radio show

Philosophy Department

March 01, 2020

The “Wisdom for Life” radio show, co-hosted by Greg Sadler — Carthage adjunct faculty member in the Philosophy Department — and Dan Hayes, aired for the first time Friday, Feb. 28 on Riverwest Radio (WXRW 104.1 FM, Milwaukee). The show discusses practical philosophy — ideas, insights, and practices from philosophical traditions that can be applied to live more happy, more intentional, and more productive lives.

“Wisdom for Life” airs live from 5 to 6 p.m. every other Friday on FM radio and over the internet. Show episodes are archived in the WXRW Soundcloud site. The first episode introduces the show and discusses practical philosophy, philosophy as a way of life, and philosophical practices. The hosts grapple with a practical question about setting and maintaining personal boundaries, and end by introducing the philosophical practice of negative visualization.
