Dear Carthage students,

We hope all of you had a relaxing two-week spring break and are adjusting well to the new online learning. Even though we are no longer allowed back on campus for the remainder of the spring semester, we at Carthage Campus Recreation are working hard to ensure that you are still able to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Below are some activities you can participate in from the comfort of your own home.

Intramural Sports will convert to eSports. eSports, also known as electronic sports, is a form of sport competition using video games. We will host a Fortnite Tournament at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 2. Winners of our tournaments will receive an Intramural Sports Champion T-shirt! This is brand new to Intramural Sports at Carthage, so if you have any suggestions, do not hesitate to message us on Instagram (carthage_intramurals) or send an email at

Games and Challenges

Since not everyone has a video game counsel, Intramural Sports will also have weekly riddles, trivia games, and fitness challenges to participate in on our Instagram page (carthage_campusrec). We will not let your hard work go unnoticed, and the winners will receive free Campus Recreation gear. These items will be shipped and mailed directly to your home.

Virtual Fitness

For those of you who are looking for guidance when it comes to working out, we will post workouts on the Campus Recreation Instagram page as well as competitions, tips, and tricks for working out at home without access to a gym. For those of you who were participating in group fitness classes, we will post alternative workouts on our Instagram page as well.

We thank you for your patience through these struggling times. Some things might be uncomfortable at first, but now more than ever is a perfect time to challenge yourself to start something new. All of us here at Carthage Campus Recreation are rooting for you! The easiest way to stay up to date on our weekly activities is to follow Carthage Campus Recreation and Carthage Intramural Sports on Instagram and Facebook.
