NAPERVILLE, Ill. — Carthage College men's volleyball student-athletes
Matt Slivinski and
Zach Bulthuis were named the first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year while head coach
JW Kieckhefer was named CCIW Coach of the Year to headline the all-conference selections announced by the league office Tuesday.
Jacob Allard and Braeden Waumans joined Slivinski and Bulthuis taking first team honors on the season.
Slivinski, a junior who collected first team honors from Willow Springs, Ill., led the the conference in two categories statistics with 0.86 service aces per set and points per set with 4.86 during conference play.
Bulthuis was named Defensive Player of the Year and a first team selection for the first time in his career concluding the season second in blocks per set with 1.27 in the conference.
Allard, a senior from Indianapolis Ind., is on the all-conference first team list as he played in 46 sets collecting 347 assists and 44 digs.
Slivinski and Allard were also named CCIW Player of the Week and CCIW Setter of the Week respectively.
Waumans received first team honors collecting 127 kills off 279 attacks, 18 service aces and 21 blocks.
Head coach JW Kieckhefer was selected the first CCIW Coach of the Year for the first time in his career at Carthage.
Carthage finished the season with a 12-3 record and a perfect 6-0 conference record for first place.
