Returning borrowed items to the Hedberg Library
Circulation/Borrowed Items
Circulation services are suspended for the time being, except for when requested through correspondence with a reference librarian. If you think you need something from the library, please send an email to help@carthage.edu.
Returning Checked-Out Items
Due dates for all library items have been extended to Thursday, October 1.
If you are planning on returning to campus in the fall, you may hang on to all items checked out on your account until then (with the exception of Interlibrary Loan items).
If you live close to campus or are on campus during your move-out time, you may drop off items in the external book return at the library (just inside the north entrance doors to Hedberg Library). You may also drop off items at the mailroom to the attention of the library.
You may also mail items back to the library via the post office using “media mail” to this address: Hedberg Library, Carthage College, 2001 Alford Park Dr. Kenosha, WI 53140.
Please remember that the library still expects all books, computing equipment, etc. to be returned to us. If you will not be back to Carthage this fall and the above options do not work for you, please send an email to help@carthage.edu.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan services are unavailable since libraries across the country are closed. At this time, we prefer that you work with one of our librarians directly to make sure you are fully utilizing Carthage’s resources to find what you need. Our staff is working remotely, so the fastest available service is through an email to help@carthage.edu. We are glad to work with you to get you the best resources possible.
Please return Interlibary Loan items as soon as you can using the suggestions above, so we may send the items back to the schools we borrowed them from.
