Prof. Maggie Spenuello’s “The Woman in Black” nominated for multiple awards

“The Woman in Black”Nominations for the 2020 Off Broadway Alliance Awards and Drama League Awards were unveiled last week. “The Woman in Black,” associate directed by Professor Maggie Spanuello, is nominated for Best Play Revival by The Off Broadway Alliance as well as Drama League Awards nominations for Outstanding Revival of a Play and Distinguished Performance Awards for both Ben Porter and David Acton. 

Prof. Spanuello associate directed the US Tour of “The Woman in Black” in 2018-2019 with acclaimed “West End” director, Robin Herford, and joined him again for her Off-Broadway directing premiere this winter at the McKittrick Hotel. In January, Ben Brantley of the New York Times named “The Woman in Black” a Critic’s Pick.

Performances of “The Woman in Black” have been postponed due to COVID-19. Winners for the Off Broadway Alliance Awards will be announced Tuesday, May 19 and Drama League Award winners will be announced in June.
